    Associate Director of Admissions

    Position Summary: This position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the admissions and records functions in the Office of Recruitment & Admissions. It will manage staff and functions needed for efficient admission of students to the University and accurate, clean housing of prospective student data. It will report directly to the Executive Director of Recruitment & Admissions. The individual manages the Processing Manager, their team of Processors, and Admissions Coordinators.

    Responsibilities
    Responsible for planning, developing, monitoring, and supervising admission and records functions for all prospective domestic undergraduate students. Identifies errors (human and electronic) and works to resolve errors, diagnoses causes, and eliminate future errors. (25%)
    Collaborates with Admissions Communications team to monitor effective communications (email, call, text, print) with prospective domestic undergraduate students to increase all aspects of admissions student funnel. Analyzes strategies and researches new methods of increasing conversion rates. (20%)
    Develops comprehensive written training and procedures manual for admissions and records, and updates processes as Board of Regents, institutional rules, and technologies change. (15%)
    Reviews admissions applications, residency petitions, and provides training for team members for these processes. (15%)
    Demonstrate motivational and problem-solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the University’s mission. (10%)
    Assists with management of department budget and ordering office supplies, promotional items, and equipment as needed (10%)
    Additional responsibilities as requested. (5%)
    Required Qualifications
    Five years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience (college of university admissions experience preferred)
    Knowledge of university and college admission strategies and practices; knowledge of related admissions software, tools, and materials (Target X, Banner, Web Xtender, Microsoft applications)
    Bachelor’s Degree
    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
    Ability to interview and interact tactfully with students from diverse backgrounds; ability to function as a team player within the University to reach enrollment goals
